A year ago we moved onto twenty acres in the Ozarks with seven children and a conviction that a family should own the source of its own food and water.

Year one went into the bones — the things you can't grow your way out of later. Power. Shelter. A place to work. The studies that tell us what this land can carry. The foundation is under us now, and the plan itself is what comes next — and everything we build on it is designed to be copied, taught, and handed to the next family.

Thirty-one hives and thirty swarm traps are cut and sitting at our partner's CNC shop right now, waiting for pickup — every one of them our own design, funded and secured.

The Generational Hive is an insulated horizontal hive built for families, not commodity beekeeping: seven pounds of raw sheep's wool insulation, a built-in swarm-catch system, and doors simple enough that a child can work them. We assemble them in the container we're turning into a proper hive shop.
